The space converted in this project was originally a large, untouched, open basement situated next to our client’s apartment in Benahavis. The challenge for Pulse was to join the basement to the original apartment by knocking the walls through, and to utilize this large space to create a huge living area, 2 new bedrooms both with en-suites, a storage room and a new Kitchen. This was an extensive project that involved raising the entire floor of the new space and taking care to design around the structural pillars. Bringing light into the new apartment was also important. Perimeter bulkheads were installed around the entire living space and an impressive lighting feature installed over the large dining table.
